• The minimum age is 21-25 years (in the case of luxury SUV hire, the minimum age can be 25 years and above) with at least one year of driving experience.
• UAE nationals should provide a UAE driving license and Emirates ID card (or resident visa).
• Foreign visitors should provide a valid passport, stamp on UAE entry visa, local driving license of their country, and International Driving Permit (IDP).
• A security deposit is needed (amounting to thousands of AED; e.g., ~AED 5,000 in case of luxury SUV hire)
• and will be returned upon completion of the rental period.

The daily charges of Zen include the basic insurance that includes third-party liability and also covers any damage until a deductible (“excess”). The car can be insured with Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) for complete collision insurance.

• The car should have at least third-party liability insurance as per UAE law.
• The renter without CDW will be responsible for the excess amount for any damages.
• (For instance, according to Zen’s conditions, the renter is responsible for excess and an additional 20% charge for repairing.)
• It is recommended to use CDW for avoiding extra cost on any unintentional damages.

There is usually an allowable number of kilometers per day (approximately 250). In case one exceeds the maximum allowed kilometers, he/she will be charged for extra kilometers (approximately AED 1 or 2 for each additional kilometer). Some companies provide unlimited kilometers, but at an additional cost.
